PREMIERING ON COMPLEX & HIP-HOP DX | RVNES ft. Pusha T & Chevy Woods

After collaborating with names such as Young Dolph, Lil Ronnie and Fat Pimp, Hip-Hop producer RVNES came to us with his biggest collaboration to date. Having invested so much time into his new release ‘Hurts’ featuring Chevy Woods and Pusha T, RVNES approached us with the aim to get this release in front of the right audience and create a name for himself as a solo producer, rather than his work as a collaborator.

We worked with RVNES on a 6-week timeline, allowing us time to get international radio play, YouTube placement, Spotify playlisting and online coverage reaching an audience of over 5 million.

Online Coverage

With very little online coverage, we were essentially starting from the ground up. We focused on securing a premiere for the audio to begin with, soon confirming Complex for the audio release and a second premiere for the video with Hip-Hop DX. From this we were able to secure features in Hot New Hip-Hop where it charted at number 44 in their weekly charts, 2dopeboyz and Magnetic Magazine’s top 15 hip-hop tracks of the month.

The track was pitched to various playlists in the Hip-hop genre, and landed on multiple playlists including Filtr’s Urban: New Music Monday.

Another angle we had to explore was RVNES love for fashion. We approached fashion and style orientated YouTube channels to use the track as background music, linking it in the description. The track was picked up by TonTon Gibs Sneakers who has over 130K subscribers and many other channels of similar style. The track was also uploaded by Fanatic Sounds, which has a very genre specific audience.

The track was picked up by Beats 1 DJ Travis Mills who made ‘Hurts’ his MVP. Beats 1 is broadcasted over 100 countries and according to Apple, its listenership “beats all other radio station in the world right now”!
