Although only three tracks deep, Miller Blue had already captivated an initial fanbase. Miller came to us with his single ‘Rush’ wanting to bring more awareness to his music in the lead up to the release of his debut EP ‘Cotton’.
We wanted to make sure that the coverage we got was sustainable and would continue the hype for the EP’s release and from the campaign secured placement on Spotify Official playlists, high readership blogs such as Ones to Watch and radio play on BBC Radio 1XTRA.
The track was picked up quickly by BBC Introducing Shropshire, who premiered the track on the show. Miller was then invited into the studio at Fubar and Reprezent Radio to chat about the upcoming release.
Once the portfolio of plays were secured, we began approaching larger areas. It was BBC R1Xtra’s DJ Target who played the track first, making it his unsigned track of the week. Then Jamz Supernova showed support again on BBC R1Xtra. It was then picked up by SPIN 1038, one of Irelands biggest national radio stations with over 138,000 daily listeners.
With Miller Blue’s edgy style, soulful voice and strong online presence, we secured a premiere with online magazine Ones to Watch within the first few weeks of the campaign, which gave us the leverage to confirm features with publications such as EARMILK and GUAP magazine.
On the week of the release, Miller was added to the Spotify Official playlist R&B UK.
