Having only released a handful of material, we worked with JD Cliffe to promote his EP ‘Neon Jungle’, covering online promotion, radio plugging and Spotify pitching. Within the campaign, we secured major press such as Complex UK, plays on BBC Radio 1 XTRA and Spotify Official playlist Rap UK.
With this campaign being for an EP release, we knew that we would have to select one lead track to help promote the EP’s release on air. The selection process meant choosing the most “radio friendly”, which we found was ‘Five’.
The track was immediately picked up by DJ Target at BBC R1Xtra where he named it his Unsigned Track of the Week.
From here the track was also spun on Reprezent Radio, Pulse 88, Non-Stop Radio and many more.
After pitching the lead track ‘Five’ to genre specific playlists, we secured Spotify’s second biggest Hip-Hop playlist Rap UK, on the day of release, leading to thousands of streams immediately for JD Cliffe.
We were able to secure a premiere for the EP within the first week with TRENCH Magazine. The EP soon also sparked interest with Dummy and CelebMix.
Building on this press, we secured JD a place on Complex UK’s ‘Ones to Watch’ feature, making this JD’s most successful releases to date.
